The Benefits of Sun Salutations

Sun Salutations stretch and strengthen all major muscle groups, improve blood circulation, stimulate digestive organs, and synchronize breath with movement for meditative focus.

Breath Synchronization

Each movement in the sequence is paired with an inhalation or exhalation. For instance, inhale as you reach up (Urdhva Hastasana), and exhale as you fold forward (Uttanasana).

Tips for Beginners

Move slowly and listen to your body. Modify poses as needed—use Cobra Pose instead of Upward-Facing Dog, or drop your knees to the mat during Chaturanga Dandasana.
