Desk Yoga: 6 Easy Stretches You Can Do at Your Office Chair
Long hours at a desk can lead to physical discomfort and low energy. These stretches can be done right at your desk to relieve tension.
1. Seated Cat-Cow
Place your hands on your knees. Inhale, arch your back, and lift your chest forward. Exhale, round your spine, and drop your head toward your chest. Repeat 5 times to loosen up your spine.
2. Seated Spinal Twist
Sit tall and place your left hand on your right knee. Reach your right hand to the back of your chair. Gently twist your torso to the right, looking over your right shoulder. Hold for 3 deep breaths, then switch sides.
3. Chair Pigeon Pose
Cross your right ankle over your left knee, keeping your foot flexed. Gently press down on your right knee, or lean forward slightly to open up tight hips. Hold for 30 seconds, then switch sides.
